Why is it necessary to take a sample?

At Peluchemex, our mission is to offer personalized plush toys of the highest quality, taking care of every detail from design to final packaging. One of the most frequently asked questions we receive is:

"What is the price per piece?"

And while we understand that this is a key part of the decision-making process, the answer cannot be immediate or generic.

Each plush toy is unique.

When we talk about personalized plush toys, we are referring to designs that can vary widely in:

Size

Shape and complexity

Number of pieces

Type of fabric and type of stuffing

Embroidered details, accessories, labels, clothing, or other elements

All of these variables directly affect the production cost. Even two plush toys of the same size can have different costs due to the amount of stuffing, the stitching required, or the level of detail. Why do we need a sample?

Before establishing a price per unit, it is essential to create a physical sample of the plush toy. The price of a sample, whether domestic or imported, is $3,500 MXN + VAT.

This sample serves several key functions:

By making the sample, we know exactly how much fabric, stuffing, and accessories are needed.

It helps us calculate production time:

We can determine how many hours it takes to manufacture and how many people are involved.

It serves as a reference for the entire production process:

The sample will be the basis of quality and specifications for manufacturing subsequent units.

It is what you, as the client, will formally authorize.

It facilitates an accurate and fair quote:

We want to give you a price that reflects your actual design, without cost overruns or inaccurate estimates.

And after the sample?

Once the sample is completed and approved, we proceed with the final quote per piece, taking into account the requested volume and the defined materials.

To summarize:
